It's rare for Medjool dates to be grown here in Australia. There is one grower in the Northern Territory who harvests in Autumn each year, and sells out very quickly. We are on their list for next year's harvest, however for now, while they're out of season here in Australia, I have sourced organic dates from Israel (most medjool dates come from that part of the world).
These are delicious eaten on their own (or filled with almond butter to make little date sandwiches).
RRP comparison - usually $41 kg.
